I thought I’d just post our current interim status for those interested among you. We have said goodbye to the central staircase with the two passages in the hallway.

Now remove the air space, relocate a study room there and take it away from below, then the corner projection can be eliminated, and I can already see the home stretch shining.

Now take away the airspace, move a study room in there and remove it from downstairs, then the corner projection can be dissolved, and I can already see the home stretch shining.

Such an airspace is quite pleasant. Whether one wants it above the dining table is another question. The design is quite OK, the budget must be increased if necessary (in a "worst case" the 911 in front of the garage must be sold.;))
