Our development plan was like that too, and at first it was not allowed.
Then someone filed an objection and now it is allowed, but only if you remove the same area elsewhere.
So I think it also depends on the development plan whether it is allowed or not.

In the basement, you will hardly be able to argue with subordinate components if you only enlarge the [Räuumlichkeiten] there. But a bay window/conservatory on the ground floor over 2 floors and possibly a balcony for the parents' floor on top would certainly have its charm....

We currently live in a semi-detached house and are building a new one. For us, the kitchen is an important area. We planned the kitchen according to our ideas (with a freelance kitchen planner, for a fee) and additionally got opinions in a kitchen forum on whether it all makes sense (including ergonomically). Then we planned the surrounding floor plan accordingly :)

I would be interested in your kitchen planning, I have never seen a kitchen from a "free kitchen planner" before. Maybe you could post a floor plan.

If you do not want to fully commit, you could also consider having all necessary connections for a toilet installed in the pantry. Then a later renovation - e.g. in old age - would not be such a huge construction project.

A free kitchen planner does exactly what a regular one does. However, independently of manufacturers. My planning includes nothing that a kitchen planner in a studio could not have planned as well. Also in the "Forum für Küchen" (which is not allowed to be named), I had asked in advance for ideas/opinions, based on which and our preferences I basically had the kitchen planned :)

We absolutely needed the installation planning for our general contractor, which you understandably cannot get without signing a contract at the kitchen studio.

Advantage for us: kitchen planned, installation planning received, now calmly choose colors/materials.

Edit: if you are active in the Küchen forum and your name is the same as here, without the oz, then you contributed to my planning, which will be similar to your daughter’s ;)

I will provide pictures there as soon as I have a final plan from the kitchen studio :)
