We are currently in the final planning stage of our house and we are unsure about the arrangement of the bedroom/dressing room. Should it be left as it is or should the two rooms be swapped? What tips do you have? What do you think of the rest?

At a quick glance: swap the dressing room and bedroom. Install kitchen tall cabinets, that is, move them into the storage room (or also reduce the size of the wardrobe). Sofa against the wall, then create a technology wall between dining and living areas for the TV.

Dressing room and bedroom are a matter of taste. Some do not want to always go through a closet room to get to the bedroom, others do not want to be disturbed while sleeping. Also, when the children are still small, you often have to check on them at night, or they come when they need to use the toilet, sleep poorly, are sick... Therefore, I am more in favor of short distances. I would be for swapping the dressing room and bedroom if you can get to the bedroom quickly, meaning you don't have to walk through the entire dressing room first. However, I would also prefer that with this variant now. Place the bed differently and have access to the dressing room from the front. So, for example, the bed with the headboard against the dressing room wall and access to the dressing room from both sides of the bed. But that is also a question of space. I hope that was understandable.

I would have the toilet door open outwards - otherwise it's always a bit of a hassle with yourself. Otherwise, it is already very open - you have to like that. It is unclear what you’re supposed to do with the 1.17-meter wide utility room... normally the appliances are about 60 cm wide. The access to the dressing room is very narrow. I would advise against a sauna without access to the outside.

That was understandable. Is the depth of the room sufficient for that?

I would place the bed on the right side, then when entering you look AT the bed and from the bed to the door and you don't have it behind your head (which feels like a point of attack), entrance to the bedroom "through" the dressing room of course at the beginning of the room :)

 1.17????? THAT is DEFINITELY too narrow. We have 1.40 and it could still be 10 cm wider for laundry "storage" and a folded drying rack...
