Hello esteemed construction colleagues!
I am a construction newcomer, as we are currently putting our first little house on the field. I am now trying to educate myself a bit in this area via the internet. Currently, we are planning the bathroom and could use some good advice!
Perhaps there is someone here who can answer some questions.
So: We are currently building and are now in the process of equipping the bathroom. We have decided on a level-access system for the shower.
Question:
Can any of you share experiences with wooden floors in the shower? According to the manufacturer, genuine teak wood is used, which is said to be very durable and water-friendly. Our carpenter also confirmed this and said that you can’t go wrong with teak wood. (at least it should be tropical wood). It is also used outdoors and in shipbuilding. With parquet flooring, water resistance is not so good, right?!?
And another question:
Does anyone know about the drainage capacity? The manufacturer offers a drain with 0.6 l/s and 0.8 l/s. The 0.6 one is lower in installation height. Would that still be sufficient if we install an HSK rain shower?
And generally, your opinion on this system would be interesting...
I am very grateful for your help!
Regards,
Olaf
