Hello,

I am looking for a controlled residential ventilation system that fits under our pointed arch. The problem is, although the pointed arch is over 2 meters wide, it is only 1.2 meters high at the peak (42° roof pitch). I need a controlled residential ventilation system that achieves a nominal supply air volume of 206 m3/h according to [DIN 1946].

So far, for private use, I have only seen systems that stand upright and have the thick exhaust and supply air ducts coming out of the top of the unit. This type of system is generally rather too tall.

PS: Installing it in another location is not an option for other reasons.

Does anyone have a tip on which manufacturer I can find a suitable system from?

I have no idea about Din bla bla, don’t know if this information helps you, but our controlled residential ventilation is mounted on the wall and at the neighbor, who is building at the same time, under the ceiling. It’s a Wolf CWL something, you can google Wolf GmbH. I mean, if it’s under the ceiling, then it can also be installed flush on the floor???

Well, the pipes can also be laid directly at 90 degrees to the system, so there does not always have to be a lot of space above...

Otherwise, there are also compact systems, just try googling for [Kompakt-Lüftungsgerät]...

We are getting a ceiling unit from Helios (Controlled residential ventilation EC 340D). It is only about 30 cm high and the connections are on the left and right, instead of on top. Find a ventilation installer and ask if the system can also be installed on the floor in the attic (with a bracket).

But keep in mind that the attic must be insulated because controlled residential ventilation systems must be installed frost-free.

Insulating is one thing, but isn't it much too hot in the attic in summer?
