Good morning everyone,

the house construction is coming to an end and the plumber has installed Hansgrohe concealed body Universal DN 20 (3/4") No. 0180 for me.
Now he says that I can choose my faucet on the internet that fits this component.

What should I look for here? Pictures or links would be great.
Does anyone have an example? Do I have to shop at Hansgrohe now?
Thank you very much.

This is the reason why, despite warnings from others, I decided on surface-mounted after all. It is really universal. My HSLer would have installed flush-mounted too, but when I asked him if they were somewhat universal, he said definitely not, you might get lucky but usually it only works within one manufacturer and even then not with everything.

Maybe you’re lucky and find a good online shop with an appropriate filter function?

That said, I have to say that Hansgrohe does offer a good selection at a fair price. So before you drive yourself crazy, why not take a look at their range first.

My surface-mounted fittings will all be from Hansgrohe too.

Thank you for your response. Does that mean I need to look for a fitting that has a DN 20 (3/4")?

Then at least the piping fits. Whether the fitting itself also fits neatly onto the flush-mounted module, I don't know. With Hansgrohe, I would assume so, but on this subject, you can never rely on common sense and logic, let alone customer-friendliness. It’s best to get advice from a sanitary specialist dealer.

But this is only about the shower / bathtub faucet, right? At Hansgrohe, this is actually called ibox. You can basically only install the Hansgrohe showerselect (possibly others as well), because the internal mechanism has to be exactly matched to that of the iBox.
