The house is from Bien-Zenker. Also, have the different heating systems with prices explained to you. I have a completely normal gas boiler with energy costs of 400€ per year for 2 people. Depending on what kind of heat pumps are proposed, it can get quite expensive. I saved about 22,000€ and therefore decided against it. Heat pumps can also turn out to be power guzzlers (I had that in the previous house). The gas boiler was so cheap that I could do without subsidy programs. The service life is also limited; after 10-15 years it can get expensive. The gas boiler, on the other hand, would cost 2300 euros. I have many neighbors who complain about the electricity consumption of their heat pumps in winter if they don’t want to be cold. As a tip: install a fireplace; it cost 4700€ extra back then at Bien-Zenker. A neighbor of mine with his KfW55 house also only has a gas boiler and heats more often than I do with a fireplace. He has 27€ gas per month (3 people, 148 sqm). He goes to construction sites and picks up leftover wood there. So make calculations and comparisons with the heating systems. Usually, the salespeople get high commissions here. Bien-Zenker had a very transparent construction and service description for me back then, which included, for example, container construction site toilets, etc. I compared 8 detailed offers. When buying a car, you also compare and negotiate; why not with a house? Qualitatively, the big companies are all good. Then good luck with building your house—there’s nothing like your own four walls.

Very good , thank you. That is helpful.

Above all, I was not aware of the heat pump from an economic perspective (leaving aside the ecological benefits).

Somehow, I always thought that according to the current energy saving regulations, such an energy-efficient heating system is required..

Well, those things are subsidized but such a device is not a perpetual motion machine and does not run by itself. There is a large industry behind it, The most effective thing is good insulation. Heat pumps are good for a property by the lake where no oil tank is allowed or areas where there is no gas connection. Greetings from Bavaria

What I don’t like about these things are the boxes right next to the house. At an acquaintance’s place, the thing is set up so that in winter, when the wind comes from the main wind direction, you constantly walk through a kind of "cloud of smoke" at very cold temperatures (and those do happen now and then). From a distance, going up the driveway, it looks so stupid when the front of the house is always in a haze.

Nobody could have known that exactly beforehand. And at least in the foggy mist, you can’t see the huge box from the side of the house visible coming up the driveway.

have clear ideas about what you want, don’t waffle around your conversation partner does not want to do you any favors, they only want to make money. Always remember, this is not a consultation, this is a sales pitch. It’s best if you read this once, fill out the questions for yourselves, a large part of them will also be asked by a good advisor.

An air heat pump is energetically nonsense, especially in areas where it gets really cold.

Apart from that: a fireplace is just as nonsensical in a house built according to the latest standards. It gets way too hot. Except as a prepper or during power outages in winter, it’s really not useful.
