Exactly. That is why the question whether the size of the company is irrelevant or if one prefers a certain size. You may well say that you are the mentioned construction pilot Hoffmann ;)

Here in the area there are small house building fairs, maybe there is something to sniff out for you there

It became relatively clear to us quite quickly that the prefab house providers were not an option, as they all had too long lead times. We wanted to build on short notice, and none of them would have started in less than 9 months. That left the local general contractors, where after the first discussions, recommendations, and comparisons of services, only 2 remained in the selection. The final decision was then made based on gut feeling, which we have never regretted.

I can understand that all too well. Back then we also went to many different construction companies. In the end, however, we came across an engineering firm through a recommendation that had the perfect concept for us. Maybe you should take a look at epch Weinheim

That would actually only be worthwhile for laypeople if you got mileage allowance for it ;-) Someone here ( ) has already tried that - with a regrettable outcome: This provider gives me a definitely worth-considering impression, but apart from the quite innovative and likeable marketing approach, seems to me to be a relatively "standard" engineering firm.

Well, honestly, we hadn’t experienced it like that before. The engineering office settled the costs with the house builder. For us, it was basically free. We would have paid the planning service to the house builder anyway. That way, we were still able to plan freely.
