Out of interest and curiosity, I am opening this thread.

Did your calculated financial planning work out? If not, how much was still missing for the estimated items and which items were they?

Due to the current situation, since is just calculating a hot topic regarding the monthly additional costs and, as has already said, the focus should be on financing.

We spent 5% more than planned costs plus planned reserve. The cause was earthworks for the construction itself (raising the height, which only became apparent during the planning meeting) and afterwards filling up the rest of the terrain to this level for stabilization, hence the long walls at the edge of the property. This only became apparent late, when we commissioned the gardener. It was quite a few tens in total, and thus the reserve was exceeded. Best regards Gabriele

Hello ,

do you mean with financial planning whether we have managed with the calculated budget for the construction of the house or whether the amount available monthly for the repayment of the loan is adequate?

Regards, Ralf

Hello Ralf,
as Gabriele writes, so did the calculated budget suffice? Yes/No and if not, why? It would no longer be relevant for me because cost-wise I am done except for lawn, bushes, and fence.

We had not factored in the outdoor facilities, following the motto "we'll do them later, bit by bit." When we then changed our mind and decided to have everything done at once, we refinanced that - around €50k.

HI,

I have not built yet and therefore cannot answer this question at this time.

However, in my opinion, my costs are also crucial for the budget, among other things, and that is why I am trying to research here (the operating costs, for example).

Regards
Ralf
