Fence as sound insulation towards the neighbor. What inhibits sound the best?

Hello Illo,
I find that really nice and fair of you. Apparently, there are many variants of soundproof walls - I would torture Google a bit. The appearance can be greatly improved with climbing plants and thus helps to improve the climate at the same time.

I would address the neighbor directly about what you plan and what he thinks of it. Maybe he’ll even contribute something - who knows.

You don’t really believe that yourself. I don’t know a single retiree who doesn’t hold on to their money. Neither inside nor outside the family. Wanting something but not wanting to part with money is 90% of the motto.

I deliberately didn’t write stingy :-p

Honestly, Zaba, someone needs to cuddle with you sometime.

I already have someone.

Unfortunately, this is common practice. Starting at the age of 75.

How often have my father or my mother gotten upset about their fathers. Both mother and father took them on vacations, paid for everything, and when it was time to stop for gas on the way back as a kind gesture, they got offended, thinking it was just about the money.

Truly unbelievable. The latest "incident" just happened 2 months ago with my aunt.

So in our family it's exactly the other way around. Everyone always wants to pay first and invite the others. You shouldn't generalize from your family to others. I don't either, but I at least hope for fairness, consideration, tolerance, etc.

You’re not seriously telling me that the elders in your family fight over paying all the bills? I’m not concerned about the rest, everyone here is generous as long as it doesn't get out of hand :-p
