Failed Floor Plan Collection Thread - Floor Plans That Nobody Wanted

Even with finely detailed plans created with a good CAD program, I have already stood inside a house and realized that a "totally good idea" doesn't work. Our craftsmen have now gotten used to the fact that on site it doesn't look like the plan that was sent. "Wasn't there a wall there???"

What do you want to say with that? If you leave out an entire wall in a measured survey, of course it will also be left out in its very finest CAD clone. That's not a miracle, but plain negligence. Should the CAD program have required an affidavit that no wall was omitted from input?, and should it perhaps have made spot checks to make sure no one is lying?

What I wanted to say was that I had planned a partition wall, which was built according to my instructions following the plan, but then I demolished this wall that I had planned myself during the next on-site visit because the wall only made sense on the plan. A map is not the territory as my grandfather always said.
