Hello,
I am currently renovating and (once again) encountered a problem that is unsolvable for me.
Until today, the extractor hood was running in recirculation mode and blowing grease and yellow stains onto the wall in the immediate vicinity of a pipe leading outside.
I wanted to solve this problem and connect the recirculation system to the outside pipe.
What would make things a lot easier for me is if I could connect the extractor hood to the closed pipe on the left under the room exhaust.
This way, the room exhaust would remain intact and I wouldn’t have to remove that stupid plastic box, which would be a huge mess plus possibly having to cover the pipe since it protrudes in front of the kitchen unit.
Is there a way to find out if this is a chimney or a ventilation pipe without taking off the cover?
For example, turn the boiler+heating, hot water fully on and put your hand on the cover to see if it gets warm?
Best regards
Chris
