Hello everyone,
a great forum. I have already been able to gain many additional pieces of information. THANK YOU!
We want to build a 1.5-story house, 135m², gas/condensing boiler system with solar thermal collectors, underfloor heating on the ground floor and upper floor, fireplace flue. 2 rooms on the upper floor as well as the living room and guest room are oriented to the south. The plot (750m²) is located in a sparsely developed building area adjacent to a field. Kfw 70 is not planned. (or option?)
I am currently wondering whether I should build with:
24cm porous hollow bricks plus 8.0cm insulation (polystyrene rigid foam boards), reinforcement layer and top plaster
or with
36.5cm porous hollow bricks and 2.0cm lightweight plaster with mesh insert.
Could someone possibly give me a very general recommendation or explain the difference? Is the first variant sufficient? Do I understand the second variant as the monolithic construction method, whereby no insulation is necessary (due to the thickness of the bricks)?
We have unfortunately suffered a lot from mold and moisture damage in previous apartments. I have repeatedly read that the first variant often causes problems regarding diffusion moisture? For example, we sleep every night with the window open. What causes us less concern there? Is a ventilation system then a must?
I know I am not a professional. I also know that this should not necessarily be generalized, but I hope you can give me some tips or information.
Many thanks and best regards
Marcel
