Dear house building community,

we want to extensively green our carport. It is basically already prepared with an EPDM membrane. This is something we want to tackle at some point. We have heard that it is not a big deal and since we have no time pressure, we want to do it ourselves. Next year or the year after.

Now the information gathering begins and I wanted to tap into the collective wisdom gathered here.

Has anyone done this before? Which provider can you recommend? What should you definitely pay attention to? Etc.

Did you use seeds or plants? How long does it take until it actually looks like something?

I am looking forward to your feedback!

Use Bauder KS plus. Depending on the weather, you will have nice greenery in 2 years. Roof greening is actually always done with seeds.

If you were closer to the western border, I would recommend a company from Holland. Based on their offer, we decided to have it done instead of doing it ourselves. It costs hardly more than the material here in [D].

Yes, gladly, we would also be interested in the recommendation. We are an hour away from the Dutch border, so that should be fine :-) Many thanks in advance for the recommendation. Were you also able to notice an improvement in the indoor climate during the hot summer period thanks to the green roof?

We received the seedlings from Bauder and planted them. It was completely problem-free and the plant quality is excellent - no loss.
