Experiences with your windows

Hello everyone,

I am currently facing the difficult decision of which material our windows should have. The options are plastic windows or plastic windows with a colored aluminum cover.

Our carpenter tells me that if we want windows in RAL 7016, he would install ones with a colored cover, because the normal PVC windows with a colored foil would heat up so much that the windows could warp.

Therefore, my question(s):

- Which option have you chosen or would you choose?
- If you have foil-coated PVC windows, how long have you had them and do you have any problems?
- Does anyone have experience with how much more expensive the PVC windows with covers are compared to those without?

I don't know that.

With aluminum, you would be about 15-20% more expensive than with plastic, each time comparing decent stuff (and I wouldn't wrap cheap plastic but just forget it). I wonder how much price difference would remain with plastic coated with aluminum (or seen the other way around, aluminum with a plastic core), do you still find that "worth it"?

The car advertising wrap installers give a 3-year warranty on full-surface wraps - a short time for a window. There are no granulates in metallic colors, neither "solid" nor as a foil. Therefore, I don't trust the weather resistance, abrasion resistance, and lightfastness of the surface here.
