Hello everyone
I am looking for a suitable covering for our stairs including the entrance area and intermediate landing. Currently, one (or various) carpet(s) is laid on the stairs, which I want to replace. It is a concrete staircase, with at least considerable adhesive residues, I suspect.
Requirements for a new covering (no carpet) are:
- easy to install by myself
- resistant covering (wet shoes & dirt, scratches from dog or falling keys...)
- surface with texture
With these requirements, I came across vinyl.
Does anyone have experience with prefabricated vinyl stair treads or has installed them themselves and can share their experience?
I would like to lay the same covering on the landing, entrance area and stairs. Can I install it floating (landing, entrance area) and glue it down (stairs)? Or do you use two different floors?
Thanks for your answers!
Mike
