So either I'm totally stupid or Ikea screwed up big time with this combo...

The front on Metod is only attached with an angle bracket and a strange plastic part.

1. The plastic part has to be combined with a plastic ring, which causes the front not to be even remotely aligned but to stand increasingly away from the machine at the top. So it looks really awful...

2. The pulling forces when opening act exclusively on the plastic part, whose screws don't even extend 5 mm into the front, are already a bit loose after a few openings, will probably break out quite soon, and then the front is ruined...

Does anyone else have this strange combination?

I am currently installing my Enastaende and have the same problem. I have now left out the black plastic rings, even after intense thinking their purpose has not become clear to me, except that the front is not level in any way. Now the front is at least vertical. How long the two screws of the front will withstand the tension that arises when opening - we'll see. Although these screws couldn't be tightened properly anyway - somehow seems intentional.
