Hi!
For our construction, we want to install Halox boxes for LED spots including wiring in the concrete ceilings. The option to have the boxes cast in at the factory seems too risky to me. I fear that the spots will not be aligned if multiple ceiling elements are placed.

What are your experiences?

Alternatively, the electrician suggested to me to make 68 mm core drills in the still uncured filigree ceiling (EL), fix the Halox-o-boxes on the ceiling, and then cast around them. This way, the Halox box would sit on the ceiling but not be inserted into the drill hole.

What do you think about that?

Which Halox boxes? Cast in the factory or with core drilling on site? Diameter of the core drilling?

I would have completely normal filigree ceiling parts delivered and then, before the reinforcement goes on, place the (self-made) boxes. Ideally, lay the cables in right away. How to do this can be found by googling or also here in the HB forum using the search function. But if you want to spend money, you can use HaloX-P or something similar. It works exactly the same. Regarding the position (whether self-made or purchased): the exact position of the spots within the empty box is determined by a drill hole from the room interior side. You basically can't go wrong if you pay a little attention. The box then only needs to be placed from above onto the drill hole. I would only make a core drill hole when the spots are to be installed.

Take a look at the builder diaries under a-u-s-Haus.
You will find something there.

So, I will deliver the cans to the concrete plant. As soon as the slab with the cans has been laid, I will wire them.

I will install 230v spotlights with GU10 sockets for LED spots.
From the feeling, the Halox-P 1291-22 should be sufficient. Or should one install the version with the transformer tunnel to be on the safe side?
