Hello,

Is it worth driving around and asking the neighbors of undeveloped plots about the owners?

We have been searching in the countryside for a year and there are none on the market even though there are many building gaps.

Yes. And ask acquaintances, colleagues, etc. or at least mention that you are looking. For example, at a birthday party we just somehow talked about the topic and suddenly one of my oldest friends said, "wait a minute... I think my parents still have a piece of land that they don't need. I'll ask them" (we also know the parents well). We got such a nice piece of land at a bargain price without it ever having been advertised anywhere or anything like that. That's often how it works in the countryside.

Asking clearly costs nothing! It's amazing how many properties are still privately held even though there is demand.

We got our property exactly the same way. Through acquaintances, we learned that their friends are currently building and that the seller of their property might still have a plot available. So we contacted the builders directly, who followed up with the seller. Shortly after, we had the first conversation.

I would always recommend, especially in new development areas, to simply ask around.

that surprises me a bit. In the countryside everyone knows everyone and also what they are (and what they are looking for). That's how it should be: shooting club, sports club, integration and enrichment of the village community, then it will work out

We also found our property like this. Definitely give it a try and don’t be shy.
