Hello everyone!

For our turnkey house, we would like to expand the electrical work with EL.
As many know, the included positions do not fulfill all wishes.

I don't want to interfere too much with the electrician's work; he will also receive several additional positions from us.

But:
I plan to distribute the sockets included in the trade so that I can multiply them independently at the electrician's installation site. In other words: from a single socket, I make two- or multiple-socket outlets. For this purpose, I simply use the laid supply cable. Thus, I don't have to make major chases anymore but just drill holes for the boxes and plaster the boxes in, of course. This way, I would save about Tsd€.

What are your experiences with EL in the electrical trade?
Regards
Käfer

Is that even allowed?

If you are an electrician, you know how it works; if not, hands off.

Mmmh, doesn't help me at all. Has anyone maybe had experiences with their electrician? I have the appropriate technical support. Why shouldn't one be allowed to do that? In the area of kitchen appliances and in the utility room, I am happy to pay for it.

Because it is forbidden in DE for an electrical layperson to do more than plug plugs into sockets and operate switches and push buttons.

Your technical support will also tell you that.

If I were an electrician, no one except my apprentice, journeyman, or colleague would be allowed to tamper with it, because as a master I am responsible.

You write that you always want to have only one box installed and then make double or triple boxes from this box. I don't believe you save much money just because the electricians drill a few holes less. You need the same material and the effort to get the cables to where you want to have boxes, you want the electrician to do anyway.

I see it differently! If I install the sockets with my neighbor, who is of course an electrician, no one has a professional say in it. The builder’s electrician must bear the warranty for his work.

:
Unfortunately, it is such that I save quite a bit on this. I wouldn’t have thought so at first either. Every additional socket, no matter where (!), costs me over €35 with the electrician who has the contract through the builder.
