Hello everyone,

I would like to buy a part of the neighboring property.
So far, everything is settled between the owner and me.

What costs will I incur?
The purchased property is only a strip parallel to my property and measures 4 meters in width and 18 meters in length. The current cost per square meter is 70 euros.

What costs can/must I expect afterwards?

Enter the purchase price into a notary cost calculator. That's added on. Then also real estate transfer tax on the purchase amount, the assessment rate varies from state to state. You can also google it. Oh, the court also wants a few euros for changing the land register. But that's in the peanuts range.

And please don’t forget the surveyor’s costs! That quickly becomes a four-digit sum. As well as the land registry office.

72sqm at €70 purchase price = €5040 Notary and court approx. €260 (without mortgage, purchase only) The partition survey costs significantly more. It depends on the area, the boundary length, the number of affected parcels, the number of boundary points, the purchase price .... expect around €1500-2000.

The surveying is usually split fifty fifty between buyer and seller. Demand that.

Good joke at a €5000 purchase price. The sales interest will probably then approach zero.
