I rented a mini excavator for just over 130€ for one day, everything except fuel. I did the digging myself. Alternatively, a tracked dumper with self-loading function, you can rent those for about 80€ a day and you can pick them up yourself on a normal trailer (if you manage to organize one).

Regarding disputed points:
you file a written complaint with the civil engineer. Issues must of course be clearly stated, preferably with a photo. I would complain by email and if there is no response the next day, also in writing.
You may withhold double the estimated repair costs. You pay the rest of the invoice.

Haven't you planned any paths, terrace, parking space, etc.? 15 tons sounds like a lot, but in practice it barely suffices for the paving of the parking space.

Otherwise, just lift under the floor, your lawn will be happy

I think the grain size is too small for that. Sand would be more like 0/8mm; for the base layer, you usually use 0/32 or 0/45. You can use that for a footpath, but for driveable areas, I would rather use coarser gravel.

Then use it for paths and terraces. Although... a friend drives a Merc, E-Class empty weight 2 tons, and made his base layer with sand, 6 years ago. Still perfectly flat.

Well, if he buys a Leopard 2, then it might get tight.

Alternatively, you use the 15 tons of sand for paths and terraces. I wouldn't give it away under any circumstances, certainly not for free. You need that stuff and having it delivered later costs five times as much.

15 tons are about 10 cubic meters or a pile of approximately 3x3m. That should fit in a corner of any property… 3 men, 3 wheelbarrows, and about 2 hours and the thing is relocated. You will still need the sand for garden design, the drainage pipes, etc. So better keep it …
