As said, at the moment we are planning with €100,000-150,000 for repayment....

My parents had also expected a certain amount and split their loan so that for one part the fixed interest period expired shortly after the payout. That was then a term of 6.5 years. That is also possible, so you could then "exactly" repay a loan in full (the amount should then simply be split accordingly).

The 15 years make no sense. Take 10 and put the saved interest into the repayment. Basically, apart from manageable interest savings, it doesn’t really matter how you do it; with the income, living circumstances, and the upcoming windfall, the risk is zero.

Just a thought: Some investments are taxable upon payout. This should possibly be taken into account when determining the payout amount.

We expect a larger sum from a sale in a few years. We have now only taken out one large loan and were able to agree on a special repayment of 100k at a certain point in time. This has significantly reduced the interest rate for the entire loan.

Hello Osnabrücker,

The Claro account amounts to a gross 400k, I think 100k should easily be available for repayment and then a little extra spending money for living!

Best regards
