Our bricklayers let the standpipe for water tapping be stolen. The municipal utilities have now charged us for an estimated consumption of 50m³. In the past months, water was only used for gluing the exterior walls. The bricklayers also partially used collected rainwater. I consider the 50m³ to be a very poor estimate and would personally assume 2-3m³. Do you have any experience with this in any form?

For our prefabricated house in timber frame construction, a total of 1 cubic meter was used, which cost 1 euro. Unfortunately, 90 days rent, so a total of 140 euros... I could have brought the cubic meter there with buckets ^^

What does 50 cubic meters of fresh water cost, which can be proven not to have been discharged into wastewater?

That's really a joke to think about.

Counter question: What does it cost if you stand for an hour in the car park in downtown Munich but have lost your ticket?

I see it the same way. The 50m³ seems exaggerated, but may be covered by the [AGBs] (?) and ultimately it's peanuts not worth the effort. I would be more concerned about the deposit for the standpipe (here the part costs a 1000€ deposit!!).

you let your standpipe get stolen, not the bricklayers. if the bricklayers were responsible for the standpipe and the water supply, you wouldn’t be getting a bill for 50m³ of water now :)

It is about €70, which I am not willing to give away. The amount is worth it to me to deal with the Stadtwerke by phone or letter. I expect the payment of the deposit from the negligent masons/construction company.
