Hello everyone,
I need some advice from you. This year we built a house with a general contractor.
The outdoor facilities are DIY and the entrance step or platform belong to that. I wanted a detailed plan from the GC. I received a PDF. Probably a standard design sent to all homeowners. (see picture) I deleted all unnecessary information.
The problem is, I just can't imagine that you can simply lay the paving stones on the insulation. This insulation is only glued. The entrance is right by the driveway, so a car always passes next to the entrance and I just have concerns.
We only want a 30-35 cm step and no platform, so this plan is unusable for us. But there is no other one, so what now?
The landscaping company doing the driveway for me would do it as the GC planned.
We would simply like to create a concrete foundation. This foundation would be about 80 cm deep (see picture 2). Or is that nonsense?
I would be very grateful for advice.
Regards
