Hello €uro,
I think we have already discussed this before.

[*]We had an external expert, but not for all trades

[*]Our system is properly sized, hydraulic balancing, blower door test, ventilation concept, ventilation rates, etc. were all created

[*]Energy calculation (as needed) was created

[*]Before construction, we did not have a truly independent energy consultant – the company handled everything (in consultation with us)

[*]The company offers KFW55 (with all associated documents), but we rejected that due to too high costs (just for the documentation)

[*]After construction, we wanted to switch to KFW55 ourselves with our independent consultant -> with him it would not work despite all existing documents, because he cannot issue retrospective confirmations for the individual trades – additionally, he would have to redo the energy calculation, which would also cost a lot of money

Costs: ratio of KFW subsidy to costs of documentation and the new energy calculation

Then everything should be in order and the consumption costs should correspond to the projected expectations! What more could you want?

Best regards

Hello,
Thank you very much for the quick feedback.
Don’t worry, unfortunately I did not get the building permit for the Zugspitzspitze, and there will also be no KfW40 house on the equator. It will be a compact country house on the plain before Spessart and Odenwald. The limits of the insulation thickness will not be explored - neither one way nor the other, it will not be a glass palace (even though the west side has a lot of glass), there will be a ventilation system (comfort aspect), but no fireplace. Construction method is timber frame on a masonry basement, the questions mainly concern the basement and the roof, certainly also with a focus on the later ‘[Wiederverkaufsoptionen]’ - less on KfW55 certification and more on real (and thus definitely highly usage-dependent) heating/cooling costs.

Greetings from Untermain
I.
