I also think these dust mites can be found everywhere. They just are not often discovered. A dryer can remove the moisture and thus deprive these creatures of their breeding ground. I am sure there are also health problems associated with these pests.

My daughter moved into a new apartment and there were also these insects there. The house was not properly dry after construction. These critters are so small, you can't see them at all. They are actually harmless, only allergic people might have problems.

Chemical agents usually only help temporarily. A building drying must be done here. They did that too and now these little animals are gone.

I have been living in a new building for 2 years and we have [Staubläuse]... The building was not properly dried... The pest control man has been here 3 times already, it only helps for a few months, then the [Staubläuse] are everywhere in the apartment again... I have asthma and lung disease as well, do the [Staubläuse] have an impact on my health? How do these pests go away forever? What must be done?..

Hello,

we moved into our new building in October. Shortly after, we noticed that there were small beetles everywhere.
After 4 weeks of heating and ventilating, we called an exterminator.

He found out that they are yeast beetles (supposed to be like booklice) and that he can get rid of them.

After 4 treatments with short-term insecticides, the situation has improved, but the beetles are not gone and new ones come every day.

We have observed that the beetles come out at the edge insulation strip of the screed.

We are looking for someone who has experience with this and can share it with us.

Thank you very much

I also noticed them everywhere in the new building when we first moved in. I often saw some on the walls and was a bit concerned. For us, the problem was over after the first winter. The moisture had probably just evaporated from the walls.
