Judging by the drawing, it is executed in today's "modern" construction style: stairwell and elevator shaft in concrete, decoupled from the other walls.
We have just moved into a new building. The elevator runs practically through our apartment and we do not hear anything at all. However, not all residents have moved in yet (6 units on three floors). The opening on the left is the elevator.
Thank you all - I was on site again. Between the elevator and the [ETW] exterior wall, there is still the staircase in between. So everything is fine either way - I had remembered it incorrectly.
I also lived for several years in an apartment adjacent to an elevator. Driving noises were not audible, but the opening and closing of the doors, especially on the same floor, could definitely be heard inside the apartment. However, it hardly bothered me because I am not particularly sensitive to noise. Especially on the ground floor – where there is a stop for 90% of all rides – it could be a disturbance for noise-sensitive people.
