Electricity was temporarily cut off - How to take action against the landlord?

Good evening! In recent days and hours, something has occupied me very strongly, which is why I also made use of a registration. My girlfriend and I moved into an apartment on New Year's, which is absolutely fine in itself, but the landlord cut off the electricity for about 72 hours. After a brief search on the Internet, I realized that this is not lawful. I don't really want to waste much energy on it, but as we found out, it was apparently intentional. It would mean that we paid the rent too late, which was indeed the case, but there were more misunderstandable reasons. Well, since then we have been somewhat at odds, and the audacity was completed by cutting off the electricity. My question concerns the topic of "rent reduction." I had read that in some cases there have been 100% rent reductions because the electricity supply for the kitchen, hot water, and lighting was not available. Quote: Okay, a clear statement, but the following questions arise for me: a) Can I claim anything for this short period at all? Or do I have a right to it? b) Is it possible to choose a rent reduction for a limited period? (In this case, the month of April) c) How many percent are roughly possible? I wonder if it is worth it. As students, a few euros less rent would definitely be useful. Thank you for your effort and I hope this text is understandable. Good night and see you in the next few days. I will be notified via email. I hope my incompetence doesn't bother anyone. Many thanks fcbfan69

As a layperson, I hardly know anything about tenancy law... apparently you pay a flat rate, including electricity and other additional costs? What was so confusing about the rent payment? Something seems to be true, as you yourself say... the question about rent reduction apparently aims more at making the landlord even more unreasonable and saving a few bucks?

As said, we poor students can use every cent - no, it's not that bad. Yes, we pay flat rates. There were misunderstandings regarding an oral agreement about the transfer date, etc. I wouldn't say inconsistent directly, more like a compensation for that, because the time really wasn't very nice. Especially in the evenings, but well. I think everyone can imagine that well enough. Thanks by the way for the response!

Now let those who can understand this... I cannot. But just saying: if I were a landlord (and I will be one someday), I too would cut off services quickly. No landlord has anything to give away... whether right or wrong... You use an apartment, the construction and maintenance are very expensive, and it should be understandable to you that the rent should also be paid. Sitting it out for a few days just because a date wasn't noted is cheeky, but definitely not dignified. There are some discrepancies on your side... and if I read between the lines, you are not entirely blameless. If I am wrong about you, sorry, but that's how it reads! :)

It was agreed verbally that we would make the first payment at a later time. Apparently, the landlord has reconsidered that ;-)
