Hello,

does anyone here happen to have experience with the costs regarding electrical installation for a single-family house efficiency house 55?
Specifically, it is about a cable for connecting the garage (light, sockets, etc.)
Is a price of 500 Euros – drilling through the building envelope / 30m cable – justified?
This concerns a new building, the cable installation is taken into account during construction.
The price of 500 Euros seems very high to me (... for cable installation with the necessary sealing of the building envelope, etc.).
The cable is not laid in the ground (only routed through the basement wall (white tank) and then remains "rolled up" in front of the house.

Best regards
Siebert

If you find this OK, I would like to sell you only such cables. Quickly calculated about 50m NYY 3x1.5 about 75 euros, installation material in the house about 30 euros, 1x for circuit breaker B16A about 6 euros, 40 euros for basement penetration = 141 euros - 500 euros I calculated very generously! If this is planned right from the start, it will be even cheaper. 359 euros remain for the installation. I estimate about 2 hours of work = hourly wage of 174.50,- But you can also look at the whole in relation, the electrical installation costs about 7000-9000 euros, a cable that is supposed to be rolled up costs 500 euros???

I wrote realistic and not fair. I think this is a surcharge as it is often charged.

I was a bit curt yesterday. Especially with general contractors, the surcharges for special requests are often far from reality. When I see that an indoor socket costs almost €50 from my provider and an outdoor socket €360, it’s quite alarming. Because the pure material cost is low, and the craftsmen are there anyway. But if you want to do it yourself, you often lose the entire warranty for a partial section. If I were to drill through the building envelope, my house provider, like any other, would withdraw from responsibility. That’s why they have the freedom to set the prices they think are right. If you don’t like the price, you try to have a conduit installed and then hire your own electrician. But honestly, it’s often not worth the effort. Whoever wants to prevent such tricks must build with an architect and individual contracts. Despite some points I didn’t like, I would build with my provider again. If you are aware of these points and they are communicated openly, I can live with it or do without the add-on :)
