Hello everyone,

we have bought an apartment that is currently under construction. We have decided on electric shutters, but we are unsure how to operate them (wired or wireless). So far, no one can tell us the exact price, and the electrician recommends switches over cable (but I don't know if his advice is entirely unbiased). Does anyone have experience regarding the price and durability or susceptibility to interference with wireless?

Many thanks!

Best regards

Hello,

No, rather the opposite, since push buttons (up/down position) and their wiring are more cost-effective.

Very roughly, really very roughly estimated, wireless costs about €250.00 more per window in the Rhineland than push buttons (depending on the size) plus the control unit; in Bavaria, about 6-8 times more expensive. As long as the system is installed properly and professionally and regulated sensibly, I am not aware of any susceptibility to interference.

Kind regards

What exactly is the factor 6-8 based on in Bavaria? High export duty abroad?

Regarding the topic: Why radio? Do you want to move the transmitters every few months?

Hello Perlenmann,

That would be an explanation

I don’t know why it is like that, but unfortunately it corresponds to the practice; in Franz-Josef-Land the clocks still tick differently ...

Kind regards

Hi!

Two things speak against radio control – besides the price:

- Either the transmitter is always where it usually is (rarely the case in the children's room ), then you could have just used push buttons, or
- you have to look for it.

The only drawback of push buttons is the appearance: about 5 to 10 in a row are not everyone's thing; at least no batteries are needed.

Best regards,
Tomtom.
