I still have night storage heaters and now want to partially switch to infrared heating. Does anyone have experience with the electricity costs? Interesting option for the transitional period?

PS: No, I do not want to switch to oil or gas.

Counter-question: Which is more expensive, day-time electricity or night-time electricity?

Why not rather a climate split unit. Infrared heaters only convert one kWh of electricity into a maximum of one kWh of heat. With a climate split unit, you get at least three kWh of heat from one kWh of electricity (depending on the model and outside temperature, even more). It should even be cheaper, since depending on the size of the house, you only need one or two indoor units, whereas infrared heaters have to be placed in every room.
