Unfortunately yes, I would have preferred cheaper solutions as well, but due to the circumstances a folding gate with 4 wings was unavoidable. And since it should also look good, it accordingly became expensive.

"Systems" are often sold. In this case, I would advise against that because system drives offer no advantage and cost significantly more. Choose exactly the fence and gate elements that you like best. Then look for a separate swing gate operator. These are not too difficult to install and are inexpensive. The only thing you need to pay attention to then are very solid posts to which the swing doors are attached. This is not rocket science – think about solutions from other countries that have a more pragmatic approach to technology. They install electric swing gate operators for €300 on 200-year-old iron gates, and it works wonderfully.

The gate and the door were installed over the weekend, don't want to withhold that from you.
