Hello,

That is not correct. On the grounds of the Stiftung Schloss Tempelhof near Crailsheim, the first Earthship in Germany is currently being built. The implementation is supported by architect Ralf Müller from the Chair of Building Physics at the University of Stuttgart in cooperation with the Fraunhofer Institute. Anyone interested can follow the progress in the construction diary:

I would not call it "living," but rather an alternative that will surely find its admirers. Moreover, it is constantly being improved; somewhat like Linux as well.

I have been observing this development for a long time and like it very much because it does not just talk about a closed loop, but consistently and against – fundamentally – all reservations pushes it forward.

We currently have 2000 sqm of building land in a very beautiful and green corner of Solingen, exclusively on the market. On Friday, we will be on-site with our architect to discuss the best possible development; the focus is on between 3 and 4 single-family houses; alternatively also bungalow solutions. Since the plot has a slight slope, I could well imagine one or two Earthships, for example; the width of the plot easily allows it. However, I already know about the discussions I would have to have to advance this project. In this respect, I agree with f-pNo that we will have to wait a few more years until the acceptance of this alternative lifestyle has become established.

You just have to go to the Earthship website or feed Aunt Google accordingly. Then you can read about how things are developing in Denmark.

Rhenish greetings
