Hello everyone,

I am currently wondering what would be a reasonable date for the installation of the connections. When can I implement this at the earliest? Directly after the shell construction?

The reason for my question is that I simply want to avoid having to chase the companies unnecessarily long. In this sense, I would like to pick a date where it doesn’t matter if the company or its subcontractor shows up a few weeks later.

We already had scheduling problems with the utility provider during the dismantling of the old house connection. The subcontractor simply didn’t come, which ultimately delayed the demolition by 2 weeks and then also delayed the crane placement / start of the shell construction by another two weeks. So I would prefer that the connection is installed unused until the HAR if necessary, rather than moving in and having no internet for the first weeks because Telekom is not cooperating.

Looking forward to your advice.

Hi! So last week we got our house connections. The requirement from our supplier was: interior plaster finished and scaffolding removed. Our supplier then completed it very easily within one day and no other trade had to wait.

As soon as it can be locked, the suppliers will come. Think of scaffolding - accessibility, they often don’t like ladders...

I know it like this, that the house must be lockable, i.e. it must have a front door and windows. Then it must not be below 5 degrees on average during the day, otherwise they won't come to dig.

So we had empty conduits installed directly by the civil engineering company, which was there anyway for the foundation of the house. A few weeks ago, we received a notification from Telekom that the connection will be made in October. The supplier also provided information about the lockability. However, in this case, the supplier lays the Telekom cables... I'm not sure if someone from Telekom will still come in October to give the final approval or similar.

The scaffolding has to be removed, which was a problem for us. The next appointment was then two weeks later. Fortunately, nothing was delayed because of this.
