Accordingly, our house is being built by a contractor who simultaneously acts as the general contractor. In other words, the contractor designs the house and has it built turnkey by subcontractors. We pay him for this with installment payments.

But we bought the plot ourselves and separately commissioned a builder to construct our single-family house.

Then he (GU/GÜ) is also - by virtue of his liability insurance - responsible for any possible damages ;) Rhineland greetings

During yesterday's visit to our construction site, I noticed two things:

- A very wide scaffold was erected, consisting of planks lying side by side. Between the two planks are the poles and 30 cm of air.

This is scaffolding that is erected without anchoring in the masonry, that is normal and nothing happens there.

Then you know that different contractual conditions apply with a general contractor compared to a contractor :)

Who signed the building application? Who is the client?
