Driveway to the garden

Our garage has a gate at the front and back. The front will be paved - everything is planned and unproblematic so far. At the back, we drive in with the lawnmower. From the lawn to the top edge of the floor, there is a height difference of about 15-20 cm. So, a small ramp is needed. We can pave at the back - but for 15 cm I find that very elaborate. If I put a proper rubber mat for sealing on the house wall, could I just pile up soil there? Or would that be rubbish?

As a ramp, one could possibly lay grass pavers at an angle?

On the house wall, a splash guard strip would be "not a mess". Please explain in more detail how the garage, ramp, and house wall are connected! Do you have a photo?

A ramp is often a suitable sheet metal, which can also be undersized (for example, gate width 240 cm, ramp width 200 cm).

Patching a strip is always better.

I can take pictures tonight - I'm at work now. You can see and explain it better there. Grass pavers - can you just lay them on the ground? Or do I also need a substructure with gravel etc.? I didn't really want a sheet metal.

As long as you only want to run over it with a lawn mower, you don’t need a gravel layer as far as I know. But I haven’t laid one myself yet. It was more intended as brainstorming.
