Hello,

we are renovating a house from the 50s and need to replace the water pipes. We are now looking for a good system, preferably made of aluminum composite pipe / PVC. Could you firstly tell me if that makes sense (or ask the right questions to find out if it fits) and secondly give a system recommendation? We currently have uponor, mepla, marley drema, and jrg sanipex in mind. Are there any experiences with these?

Many thanks!

If new, then remember the circulation.

Yes, we are already dealing with that. We are not quite sure if we really need it, since it is mainly because of legionella. The house is quite small, or rather the pipes are only in a very small area. Is the decision for the pipe dependent on the circulation decision?

I don't want to say anything about the quality of the pipes. I installed copper and some kind of plastic piping. I'm not an expert there. I have water bills of over 400 euros per year and don't want to know how much it would be without circulation and [Zisterne].

I don't quite understand that - circulation doesn't reduce water consumption, does it? Do you mean a cistern that channels rainwater into the house, which is filtered and then used by you? Maybe you could briefly explain what you mean / how that is connected?

The cistern is only for rainwater for the garden. You do need quite a bit of water there.
