Hello construction forum, I have no idea about this topic at all.
So I still live with my parents. In the hallway, there is a door that leads to the other apartment, but it is screwed shut because there is no wall and before that, this apartment was one whole unit.
The problem is you can hear the neighbors (who are family members) very clearly, as if you were in the same room.
Are there ways to make it so that you can hardly hear the noises from across, and the neighbors have the same effect?
It has to be very easy, and from my point of view, that is difficult. We don't have money to build a new wall there, it simply costs too much, and using newspaper, simply and only sticking it on half of the door from my apartment, didn’t work, even if properly glued in layers.
To be honest, it should not cost more than 30€ and it has to be extremely simple. Is something like this possible or impossible?
