Oh, of course, I was only writing about exterior doors.

For the exterior doors, I wouldn't have any other idea off the top of my head either, except to leave the film from the factory on. For the interior doors, I might stick Styrofoam or something around the corners. I still have to come up with something better for that.

Doors and windows complete the shell construction. They are protected with foil; the front door leaf is often a construction door. (Arge) damages to the trade do not have to be accepted. If you are building with a general contractor, it is quite simple: just have the defect recorded during acceptance, then it will generally be replaced or the error acceptably corrected. It depends on who calls the shots ;)

With wooden frame panels, that's probably standard.

More like "or something," because Styrofoam wouldn't be impact-resistant. But you probably only mean the frames anyway; I would leave the doors unhinged until the construction workers have moved on (or even better, until the movers are done too).

If there are doors inside, it is good if they are protected. Something can always happen. It doesn't help if doors usually come last and for whatever reason at it is different.

I don't think that will change much for me compared to other construction sites. I'll just take a look and then decide whether it's necessary to protect the frames.

It is what it is - when building a house, eventually you lose your temper. Through all the reading, you only ever hear about the bad experiences, that's just how it is.

I'm going to have a relaxing tea now.
