Does the balcony sunshade structure need to be approved?

Thanks for the hint and , I wasn't aware of that. Learned something new again. In a multi-family house with condominiums near us, awnings were installed without consultation. But probably no one got upset about it. I assumed it was okay that way.

That is still under discussion! But a roof will hardly be affordable. The sunshade sail would be an alternative in summer against the sun!
