Hello,
the topic is already quite old. I found it on Google where I myself searched for “getair Erfahrungen”. Just wanted to see what’s out there.
Apparently I am now the first and my first post here in the forum.
Now to my experience:
We have had the getair devices in use for a year. A Poroton house with 140 sqm. Ground floor + upper floor. Four devices are in use on each floor. Each floor has its own control. The wiring was done during the shell construction phase, “in series”.
Since we have a wood stove in operation, the chimney sweep required that a pressure monitor be connected. Otherwise, permission is not granted.
We solved it like this:
Power supply A: operates the two controls
Power supply B: operates the devices. If a pressure difference of 8 Pa occurs, then the pressure monitor “shoots” power supply B off and the devices stop. Power supply A, which operates the controls, continues running.
Why the nonsense? My own thought: protection of the controls. When there are gusts of wind and weather, pressure differences can occur that are only brief and occur often. Depending on the sensitivity of the pressure monitor, it switches off at second intervals.
That’s about the electrical part. Now to the devices.
The devices otherwise run stably all year round. No problem with the control. Only the touch surface is annoying. So no touch like you know from smartphones today. Maybe the devices are better nowadays. But you really have to tap firmly.
Regarding the noise level, I have no comparisons to other providers. I was assured that they are quite quiet. They run at the lowest level and in everyday normal life I don’t hear them at all, and I am quite sensitive to noise.
The covers also look good and integrate very well into the wall. After a few weeks you have to press them back because the inner foam pushes the covers out a bit. But nothing dramatic.
The indoor climate is really good. Especially how much moisture is blown out. We moved in a year ago and last winter we had real frost/ice areas on the outer wall, right near the exhaust. Over the next two years, the Poroton house will continue to dry well and I’m glad we have the ventilation.
But again, I have no other comparisons. The neighbors all have central systems directly from the prefab house manufacturer. I only always think about how much moisture is moved in the ducts. At some point they will have a cleaning problem.
If there are questions, I will try to answer them quickly.
See you then.
