Does a conductive vapor barrier (aluminum) need to be grounded?

Good day,

we have a vapor barrier called Delta Reflex Plus, which has an aluminum intermediate layer. According to the manufacturer's website, this layer should shield 99% of electromagnetic radiation. As a complete layperson, this sounds to me like aluminum is conductive and therefore no current should ever reach the vapor barrier, e.g. during roof work using screws and a drill or when installing lamps/home technology.

Does anyone know?

No, you do not have to ground it. The potential equalization is already established by the lamp itself as long as it is connected according to regulations.

Thank you for the response. But if I want to install the lamp first and now drill through the conductive coating with a drill + screws (conductive), I wouldn't be grounded. Maybe I'm completely missing something. But aluminum conducts electricity perfectly, just like copper. And if I drill through or come into direct contact with the aluminum surface under voltage with a metal screw or an unfortunate metal object, the current should be transferred to me without being able to flow away via an equipotential bonding. Or not?

Why does something like this exist? You can't make calls inside the house, and when the phone is on, it interferes so much it glows...

But it is grounded through the screw, and why should the foil be live when it is not connected anywhere? Of course, the best thing is not to drill into the foil at all.

Then you are simply the lamp - just not connected correctly *SCNR*
