Do vinyl floors contain harmful ingredients?

We probably want to have vinyl installed in the kitchen, but we are not sure yet. We do want children, who would then also walk on the vinyl in the kitchen and dining room.

Wineo now offers a "bio floor" called Purline, which is said to be made with more natural materials. But is that really the case?

In our specialist store, concerns are usually dispelled; so far, everyone has said that "there is no problem with the plasticizers."

And clicking flooring was always discouraged for that reason, because when building a house, you should always glue it down to have a "proper" floor.

Go to a tile store, then they will tell you that vinyl is totally out of the question because of the many harmful substances and that you should rather choose tiles.

Öko-Test tested PVC flooring in a year. Even floors with prices >60€ performed poorly, which I would not consider

noname plastic floors

and were certainly also sold in specialty stores.

However, I agree with , if you pushed it to the extreme, you shouldn’t eat or breathe either.
