Attached is the photo of our original plan. Here we had a U-shape, but this resulted in even less continuous straight workspace (see photo) and even less storage space. A U with an opening towards the window would mean very long distances from the front door (see photo)
Funny! The kitchen design is almost identical to ours in terms of shape, positioning in the room, and appliance placement. Ours will be installed in just under three weeks. I like it (apart from the choice of fronts and the wooden counter). :cool:
I would just suggest considering how you design the cabinets of the island under/behind the table and whether the work surface needs to overhang the island to the front? It looks uncomfortable to sit directly at the island if the worktop protrudes next to you?!
Regarding the original question: we planned 125cm. But it is not in use yet = no experience yet ;)
