Have you ever tried posting an ad as "free to give away" on classifieds for someone who wants to chop it up themselves? In my experience, people pick up everything labeled "free." It would at least be worth a try to save some money.

If it were 1-2 places away, I would pick it up for a deadwood hedge as well. Unfortunately, Hamburg is 800km away ;)

Why do you still have to adhere to the quiet period with the hedge? It’s already cut down, isn’t it?

We took our fir (large tree) to the farmer, who was taking down the hedgerow anyway. That also goes through the shredder.
Is there no green waste collection point available for you as an alternative?

Oh, I see.... Although in some cases you can drive 50km, if the alternative costs €1209. I would also drive 150km there.
