I do not find that easy to answer at all ... In a room where I lived as a student, I had two doors of different sizes. I highlighted that even more with colors. Since then I have known for myself: precisely emphasizing the existing features of a room can be nice. I would decide that based on whether I am more the type who wants stimulation or the one who prefers calm.

I personally always perceive diagonally laid floor coverings as "intentionally special" and consider it unnecessary and silly, but taste is, of course, a matter of taste :)

I can still accept "normal" diagonal (even if it's not my first choice), but 2/3-diagonal? :eek:

A good criterion I always find (especially as a craftsman) is: What is easier to manufacture? Parallel (at right angles) is easier than cutting every part diagonally ...
