Good day,

We would like to build but do not have a plot of land. We might have potential building land in prospect from acquaintances, but it is not developed. They have now given us the tip that we could connect our utilities through the neighbor who is located right next to the potentially interesting plot. Now my question: usually developing a plot is very expensive, but what if the connections are already next to the neighbor's property, would that be cheaper and what would the approximate costs be?

Then another question: are plots that are not developed cheaper than developed ones? The plot that might be interesting is about 900m2; what do you think the costs for development would be for us?

Best regards

Hello,

Apparently, no one here has a "crystal ball mode"

First of all, "developed" always means that the connections for gas/water/electricity are located in the street _in front of_ the property.

If there is an inspection shaft on the neighboring property – not so uncommon nowadays  the neighbor must agree to a connection = construction liability.

Kind regards

Development costs vary greatly in each municipality, which is why no one can give you a price here. You need to go to the building authority of your municipality, where you will receive information or a sheet that explains all the costs in detail. It is advantageous if the connections are not far away, but unfortunately, I do not know to what extent this affects the costs.
