Besides, it doesn't do you any good. The demolition only takes a few days even without your own effort. I would just have it start a few days before the construction begins.
By the way, we had the demolition and new construction done by the same general contractor to avoid problems later if something wasn't properly compacted, etc.

What one should definitely not do long in advance is to have the fine grading done. Because this can be destroyed by weather influences, especially frost, so that it would have to be redone again shortly before the base slab. Apart from that, I can’t think of many advantages or disadvantages.
