Hello everyone,
I'm Peter, 39 years old, and just now (literally at this moment) came across this forum.
Why? Well, because I was looking for something about building.
I don't know how things work here, but I hope I won’t be immediately stoned if I ask here before spending days in the wrong threads using the search function. I’m a bit in a hurry.
I plan to tear down my existing garage and replace it with a new one.
Unfortunately, I have no idea how to calculate the costs for that.
The garage should be 12 m by 6.5 m.
How high do you usually make the interior height? If I want to add a hobby room on top. (Outdoor area)
The hobby room should have at least a knee wall of 145 cm and a roof pitch of 25 degrees.
I read here something about 140 euros to 200 euros per cubic meter.
And do you save money if you don’t make a floor slab and just pave the garage? Or if you use steel beams instead of a prefabricated ceiling?
I know it’s a bit much to start with. But I have a bank appointment and my builder stood me up. It’s a bit awkward to show up and say I have no idea what to expect in terms of costs.
Demolition is not the main issue here (a buddy of mine will do that with his excavator at a cheap rate).
Well then, thanks for reading.
And thanks that this forum exists.
